COVID-19 Policy for European Business Ethics Forum (EBEF) 2024
Le Cercle d’Ethique des Affaires (CEA), the Ethics & Compliance Initiative (ECI) and the Institute of Business Ethics (IBE), hereinafter referred to as the EBEF team, are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for the 2023 in-person European Business Ethics Forum (EBEF).
The EBEF team closely monitors the COVID-19 situation and is working with our hotel to ensure we follow proper health and safety protocols. To this end, compliance with some or all of the protocols adopted by EBEF may be mandatory for attendance and participation at the in-person event.
By registering for EBEF 2024, you acknowledge and understand that you are knowingly and freely assume all risks related to illness and infectious diseases, including, but not limited to, COVID-19 and agree that you are personally responsible for your own safety and actions while attending EBEF 2023.
Further, you understand that refusal to adhere to any EBEF policy and to abide by EBEF’s published safety measures and precautions may result in a participant’s expulsion from the event and cancellation of their registration, without receiving a refund.
Health and Safety Protocols
As of August 2022
Please note that COVID-19 rules may change at any time. All information currently displayed on our website is subject to change. The health and safety of our European Business Ethics Forum attendees are our top priority. We are closely monitoring local and international government mandates, travel restrictions, venue guidelines, as well as international public health announcements. As information pertaining to the virus continues to develop, we will adjust our approach as needed and keep you informed of any new safety measures and/or restrictions.
Travel to Paris
While Amsterdam has lifted a majority of its travel bans, at this time (August 2022), we recommend that you access the most up-to-date information from the Coming to France? website. We recommend that attendees refer to this page as well as check their own local authorities’ guidance before travelling.
COVID-19 Vaccinations and Face-Coverings
The EBEF venue does not currently require proof of vaccination and does not require face masks. Both vaccinations and masks are highly recommended, but not required.
Hand Sanitizer Stations
We will have hand washing facilities and/or sanitizing systems easily accessible to everyone throughout the event.
Cancellation for COVID-19
If you are displaying COVID-19 symptoms, if anybody in your household is displaying COVID-19 symptoms, or if you are otherwise self-isolating (either due to a recent positive COVID-19 test or otherwise), please do not attend EBEF 2024. Please send proof of impossibility to attend to ebef@ibe.org.uk and we will carry forward your registration to EBEF 2025.
